Holistic Cycle Awareness Class starting on the NEW MOON

Not related to comedy or storytelling BUT THIS IS MY BLOG AND I SUPPORT ALL MY FRIENDS!!!

(The all caps made me laugh.)

Hi friends!

I’m doing a FREE class series for the next 4 Mondays starting on the New Moon:

Holistic Cycle Awareness: Journey through the Menstrual / Fertility Cycle in 4 Phases

 Mondays, June 3, 10, 17, 24

 5:30 - 7 PM PST / 7:30 - 9PM CST  /  8:30 - 10PM EST

Each class will go through a layer of anatomy and physiology to help understand and connect to what’s happening each day of the month (or however long a cycle happens to be).

Then we’ll go deeper into each phase of the cycle: how it might look and feel, the energetics, symbolic, and emotional aspects.

Some of you may have taken a cycle awareness class with me before, but this will be a new format, more space for questions and sharing, and we’ll be leaning in to the moon cycle phases as a ritual for all of us to collectively get more in tuned with the fertility/menstrual cycle.

Each time I go through cycle anatomy and physiology, and each time I go through another personal cycle, I find a deeper understanding of this particular portal of the magic of natural cycles and find new levels of embodiment potential.

There are plenty of months where I'm less aware and less connected to my cycle throughout the month because I'm distracted by other things going on in my life.

But in the cycles when I'm in touch daily with my cycle, it brings me messages and teachings and I can keep learning about my body/nature and using it as a healing path.

Each cycle is an opportunity to connect to menstrual magic, release, death, and work with universal creation energy and rebirth in the fertile phase.

This class series could be especially helpful for you if you want to find a deeper connection to cycles for supporting your cycle health, you’re on a pre-conception journey, or if you're interested in learning the fertility awareness method of birth control, this would be a great introduction.

Even if you're already charting, having the community support and space to talk about our cycles is always so nourishing, healing, and empowering.

So if you want to go on this cycle awareness love journey starting on the new moon this Monday, send me a message to sign up and I will send you more details and a zoom link.

Also feel free to reach out with any questions.

Hope to see some of you there!

Alive, Making Stuff, and Ready to Collaborate - Onicia Updates - December 2018

This month's newsletter is inspired by my friend and fellow creative living in Chicago, Erisa Apantaku (@erisa_apantaku) . Erisa produces content for some of my fave Chicago media organizations including City Bureau and South Side Weekly. As we break for the holiday season and prepare our resolutions for 2019, I want you to know that I'm alive, making stuff, and ready to collaborate. Holla at me or connect me with anyone interested in producing a play (especially in the Caribbean), publishing short fiction or personal essays, producing video or audio content. Next year, I want to be all about sharing stories. I don't plan on doing as many live storytelling or comedy events, but I'm open to creating stuff for the internet. Know any business owners needing a website upgrade, blog content, newsletters, or press releases? Here's a link to my portfolio and list of services. Well, that's all I gotta say for 2018. See you in the new year and hopefully we...

Plenty of Caribbean Talent - Onicia Update - October 2019

My ultimate goal as a Caribbean screenwriter: Create a scripted television show for and about the Caribbean. Winning awards is optional and not required for success. With that in mind, I'm always searching for collaborators and opportunities to tell stories. I finally worked up the courage to reach out to Peter Sagnia. He's a director and filmmaker currently living in St. Maarten. Chatting with Peter, Diane de la Haye,  AlysiaSimone , and my other Caribbean friends reminds me that we have plenty of talent in the region. Today I have the technology to communicate with any Caribbean talent. Access to affordable creative tools means I'm closer than ever to achieving my storytelling goals.  Other news:  Just Being Funny  is back. Episodes 1-4 of Pre-Existing  are now on Youtube . I think I'm episode 9 or 10. Maya Montrell and I are on page 16 of 30 of  Counting on Kendra . I was supposed to publish updates and lessons about our pro...
